After a two years break from Corona, the Heidelberger MUN Society sent one Delegation with our dear friends of the MaMUN society to MaltMUN 2022! For some delegates it was their very first conference, for others already one of many – still, everyone enjoyed debating in their committees and certainly the last 30 degrees of this year. Not only the socials in a beach club or at the food market were amazing, MaltMUN was “simply” held in the Maltese Parliament house. Whether we advocated against a humanitarian intervention in Syria, or secured vaccine mandates for your country, every delegate was representing a country and due to the setting of the Conference you almost felt like a real politician. But debating aside, the delegation also had lots of fun: Our delegation was also sunbathing and swimming at the beach and dancing can-can at a Maltese beach club to Queen, ABBA, “Griechischer Wein” or Layla while profiting from the open bar! In total it was a great start to restart the Heidelberger MUN Society and we can’t wait to see what will follow this semester!
